Biography

Dr. Kim Dillen is a certified professional with a diverse academic background and a commitment to advancing mental health care in Kuwait. Dr. Kim Dillen has a BSc in Biological Psychology and a MSc in Neuropsychology from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, as well as a Doctorate degree in Theoretical Medicine from the University of Cologne in Germany. Dr. Dillen's expertise extends to diagnostic and treatment methodologies, including psychometrics, brain imaging, and brain stimulation.

Dr. Dillen is also a certified MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) operator who is also trained in psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). . Her extensive training includes work at the University of Cologne's Department of Palliative Medicine, where she engaged in clinical research studies focused on neuroimaging and neurostimulation techniques. This research aimed to enhance efficiency and accessibility for diverse client populations, resulting in over 15 published scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.

In her clinical journey, Dr. Dillen has worked at a Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic in Germany, specializing in neurorehabilitation and psychosomatic care. She played a pivotal role in establishing and working at the Memory Clinic Cologne Juelich in Germany and contributed to an Early Psychosis Program in Canada. Dr. Dillen's clinical expertise spans a broad spectrum, from neurological and psychiatric disorders to working with children with developmental challenges.

With a keen focus on education, Dr. Dillen has lectured at the University of Cologne, teaching and supervising psychology and medical students. Her fluency in both English and German enhances her ability to connect with and support a diverse range of patients. Dr. Kim Dillen's dedication to clinical excellence and advancing knowledge underscores her commitment to improving mental health care and patient outcomes.
